Feel like a queen in the Pronovias 2017 collectionThe Spanish bridal couture house Pronovias is synonymous with timeless elegance. I was expecting great things from the Pronovias 2017 collection (if last year’s was anything to go by), and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Feast your eyes on these fairy tale gowns fit for royalty, rich with scalloped lace, Spanish satin and carefully constructed silhouettes to flatter your figure – something every bride wants when considering how to choose a wedding dress.
These regal wedding gowns embody everything that a modern princess should be – think Audrey Hepburn, out of her time. Pronovias is amazing at creating clean lines with daring details, like pockets (loving the comfort factor here), halter-necks, dog-tooth edging on plunging v-necks (check out the matching veil), sheer side panels and cute tea-length dress option for the bride brave enough to show a bit more leg!
Ruffles were all over the catwalk last season and it looks as though they’re not going anywhere. A fitted bodice blossoming out into a dramatic skirt that wraps you in layers and layers of tulle is a striking alternative to the traditional, plain ballgown; ruffles look amazing on both ballgown and trumpet-style gowns alike. Watch out for beautiful blush tones and an eye-catching ombre effect…
Clean and timeless
Taking it down a notch, Pronovias has captured the classic silhouette with elegant lines, simple fabrics and a nod to bygone days. Long sleeves, brocade belts, cap-sleeves and 50s style high-collar dresses are my personal highlights from the Pronivias 2017 collection.
Olé! This is what I’m talking about: heavy lace and off-white colours make for some spectacular Spanish drama. I adore the eyelash lace detail around the straps and hem on some of these gowns, as well as the regal layering and body-flattering silhouettes. The drama’s in the detail.
